Understanding our application process

At Medics.Academy, we utilise two distinct types of application forms:

  1. CV-based application
For academic tutors and research roles, we require a CV along with supporting documents such as a publication list and a cover letter.

  • Application Process:

    • Candidates must fill out the online form and submit their CV and supporting documents.

    • Our team will shortlist candidates and contact those selected for a preliminary interview with our Chief Cultural Officer/Human Resources Department. This interview assesses your eligibility and alignment with the role.

    • If successful in the initial interview, candidates proceed to the second interview with the line manager. This interview focuses on checking background and evaluating skill sets.

    • Upon passing the second interview, candidates will meet with the CEO of Medics.Academy for final review.

    • Successful candidates will then be moved forward with onboarding at Medics.Academy.

2. Criteria-based application

For most roles, including administrative, managerial, and professional positions, we use a criteria-based application             form.

  • Application Process:

    • Candidates must complete the online form and answer a set of questions based on the role criteria.

    • Our team will shortlist candidates and contact those selected for an initial introductory interview with our Chief Cultural Officer/Human Resources Department. This interview assesses eligibility.

    • The second interview takes place with the line manager, focusing on detailed role-specific questions and ensuring alignment with the department’s needs.

    • If the line manager approves, candidates are asked to complete a task assessment. This task could involve presenting a specific project, completing a written task, or other relevant exercises.

    • Following the task assessment, candidates will be interviewed by the department head.

    • Finally, candidates will meet with the CEO of Medics.Academy to confirm their suitability for the role.

Throughout the process, we keep candidates informed of their status and next steps, ensuring transparency and clear communication.

Key points for both application types:

  • Sensitive data handling: We adhere to GDPR regulations, ensuring that all personal details provided are kept confidential and used solely for the recruitment process. Access to sensitive data is restricted to HR and recruitment staff only.

  • Equal opportunities: Medics.Academy is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in our recruitment process. We welcome applications from all individuals, regardless of gender, age, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion. Our processes are designed to be fair, transparent, and free from bias to allow every candidate the opportunity to demonstrate their qualifications and capabilities.

  • Evidencing your fit for the role: Whether applying via a criteria-based or CV-based application, we encourage candidates to clearly evidence their fit for the role.
