Teaching Fellow – F|Docs Programme (Part-time, Flexible)

Medics.Academy is inviting applications for a Flexible Teaching Fellow to support our F|Docs Programme, delivering high-quality medical education to foundation doctors across the Yorkshire & Humber region. This is a flexible, part-time role ideal for enthusiastic doctors above F2 who are passionate about teaching and keen to support early-career doctors through structured, engaging education.
 

About the Role
 

As a Flexible Teaching Fellow, you will deliver teaching sessions to foundation doctors both in person and online. Teaching materials are provided, and session dates are planned in advance. There may also be opportunities to contribute to the development of new teaching content in response to trust needs.

You will work closely with the F|Docs Lead as part of a supportive, mission-driven academic team.

 

About the F|Docs Programme
 

The F|Docs Programme supports foundation doctors through structured teaching, mentorship, and academic development, helping them thrive during the early stages of their medical careers.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver in-person and online teaching sessions to foundation trainee doctors

  • Travel to trusts across the Yorkshire & Humber region when required

  • Support and nurture programme participants throughout their learning journey

  • Contribute to the development of new teaching materials when needed.

  • Ability to travel to trusts across the region as required and deliver online teaching.
     

Ideal candidate profile
 

Essential criteria:

  • A clinical background in Medicine (Doctor above F2 level).

  • Located in or around the Yorkshire & Humber area.

  • Demonstrated interest in teaching with prior teaching experience.

  • Reliable and highly enthusiastic about delivering innovative education.
     

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience in medical education or teaching roles

  • Experience using technology to deliver education
